First interview!

It was crowded at Muhyi's function today. We were nervous especially Amin until he had to go to the restroom. We performed on the front-door of his house and the others were seated respectively in the camps - at the same time grabbing their foods. I thought Muhyi had three microphones - two for the guitars and one for the vocalist. It turned out that there was only one. I went not far from the area we were performing and asked Waie Saiful to strum the guitar. I could only hear a little sound. We were waiting for another two microphones, but Muhyi's auntie asked us to just carry on with our performance. So we did.

We had fun. I hope most of the people there heard our songs, but I'm sorry to say - I don't think they did (maybe Amin's voice), but the sound of the guitars sunk due to the indistinct chit-chatting away. I'm sure the ones seated next to us did. We performed four songs and the list are as follows: Tawakal, Pantang Menyerah, Cinta Bagai Bintang and Pandangan Pertama. We decided to end the performance with our most voted song, but was interrupted because a doa was read out. We didn't mind. Therefore, we ate and went straight to Muhyi's room.

Unexpectedly, Muhyi came in and said that two guys wanted to interview us - Aisle of Before. We were shocked. We even tweeted about it immediately!

#AiOB's first interview!!!!!!!!

It was our first time. I feel like we've accomplished much reaching this far. As the leader of the band - in fact - I feel so happy that we've made it this far! We've made six songs so far. I'd like to thank Waie Saiful for writing such beautiful lyrics and Amin for the vocals. Too bad the keyboardist, drummer and bassist couldn't make it tonight or they could also be on camera - sharing us with their thoughts. My sincere thanks to Muhyi for letting us perform there tonight, one of his family member who paid us for the performance, the people who actually listened to us and the interviewers. Tonight is magical for Aisle of Before! #AiOB

Happy belated, Brunei.

I am digging my own grave! I've been sleeping late for the past four days now ever since I was sleeping over at Omar's (since Saturday 'til Wednesday). Amin slept over too (on Monday) but only for a day. I know we had so much fun and for the fact that we played zombie mode non-stop! I clearly remember posting up three posts about the rounds we've reached (pictures below). In case you haven't knew, we broke the records thrice! Ahh. :3

Yesterday was Brunei's 27th National Day! I didn't go downtown because I knew I couldn't wake up early. Hehehe. I hope everyone enjoyed their performances and will not forget this annual memorable day. These are some pictures taken by Memet.

Afiq representing MKJB. Go Figgi Boy!

This is a nice shot.

That's my uncle. You know, holding the rapier.

Later tonight, my friend - Muhyi - is inviting us to his function held in Tutong. He insisted on calling out Aisle Of Before to come and perform! I can't wait!

Round 27. (NEWEST HOME RECORD!)

Tonight, Omar and I reached round 27! In fact, we've beaten our own home record for the second time! We got big-ass loaded machine-guns, a freeze gun, a ray gun and a bazooka - all Packed-a-punched! Too bad we didn't see the fast crawlers coming and started to tear us down slowly.

Round 25. (NEWER HOME RECORD!)

WE BEAT OUT OWN HOME RECORD AGAIN TO ROUND 25! We were unable to go further because we lack ammunition. Darn drops! #BlackOps

Round 23. (New home record)

Omar and I have just beaten our old record (Day 20, the furthest) we could go. Both of us had upgraded Ray Guns. Omar had an upgraded machinegun while I still had my stock Olympia. My screen started to spike when the zombies were breaking the barriers. Too bad. Anyway, here's the result!

#1: Omar
#2: Me

The Forever Bird - Happy Heart

Suddenly, I've the inspiration to compose another song late last night! I was planning to recreate a part two for my pre-existing 'Salt of the Earth'. But this one has a whole different sound to it. I didn't not include any string/wind instruments. It does remind me of 'Rawiza's Lullaby' though. Anyway, enjoy this new song for the new 2011 album - Hiatus - entitled 'Happy Heart'!

In fact, you are able to do it every day! So why do it on this very day only? I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine's Day yesterday!

Sini Ada Hantu.

Fikri and I had no transport to go Gadong yesterday. I was supposed to go to the last-minute reunion with the amigos before 1 o'clock. We were stuck at home, but eventually Fikri came up with an idea of taking the bus to Gadong. Somehow, I agreed. I thought to myself:

"No matter what transportation I may have to use, as long as I reach Gadong - safely."

We walked down to the end of the street and journeyed towards the nearest bus-stop which was about a few kilometres away. Along the way, we saw a number 45 purple bus coming our way. It was flashing its headlights repeatedly. We approached it anyway. Fikri asked where they were going and the lady said that they were going to Bandar. So we went in. It was an uncomfortable slow bumpy ride. It was hot. The facilities weren't as good as you think. Half an hour later, we reached Bandar and switched buses there.

In the new bus that we were in, three weird guys came in. As we were departing, they were talking away as if they were the only ones there. They were being random. Their conversations jumped from one to another. Fikri and I were mocking away on our phones. I tried not to laugh, but Fikri was already giggling away. If they knew what was going on, surely we would lose our heads in the bus. We even planned to pretend to not know each other too! Thank goodness they got sick of the traffic and went down early. The bus dropped us off at the nearest zebra-crossing in front of The Mall. From there, we went our separate ways. I then walked over to the photo studio near Ahan Thai's Restaurant to meet the guys. I didn't know what was going on. I thought they just finished eating at the restaurant of something until Harith Waie asked for money to pay for the photo shoot. It was a good idea for them to decide on taking a group photo during a small reunion like that. (Badj, don't forget to upload them. Okay? Even if it takes you three days time!)

After the photo shoot, we went to TFF. Omar, Ashif and Tayib stayed to play while the rest of us went to McDonald's. I got super hungry. I hadn't eaten breakfast nor lunch, but luckily a delicious fish-o-fillet burger saved me from starving. Amal got her deal. Lucky you for us to stop by McDonald's! But it's all good. :)

We went to the arcade after that. I think they spent an hour in the K-box. Bumped into Kilah and Duratul too. Sang a few songs, but I didn't stay for long because Omar and I went down to check out some DVDs. It was getting late and slowly were going back - a few of them were following Omar back though. In the end, I was alone so I texted Fikri up - asking where he was. I got where they were. He was in the K-box with Nieza. I got the chance to sing for a few minutes and after that, they had a movie to catch. I knew I had to tag along because if I didn't, I would be alone. So, I bought a ticket to watch what they were going to watch - Sini Ada Hantu. There were no empty seats next to them so I bought the nearest which was a row behind them.

For me, it was worth the money. It's a horror comedy movie. You could already tell by the looks of it. (Well, sort of) But one thing pissed me off. My seat was taken by a little girl followed by her family in the whole row. Fikri and Nieza's seats were taken too! Good thing we didn't have to do so much to cause a fuss because, we peacefully settled down in our seats.

It has been a tiring night. I feel lazy to blog now, but I'm forcing myself because I want to share with you on what happened yesterday. Sorry if this post doesn't make much sense. Good night to all!

New stuffs!

I went shopping with Fikri and Fathul today. I bought a new jeans, a new emblem for my necklace, a new pair of shoes, new boxer shorts and a new plain white t-shirt.

I was going to buy a new belt after all those, but nothing interests me. Maybe next time. I even saw Zul along with his friends while shopping for Fikri's black jeans. At first, I didn't see Zul - only saw Sufyan(sp?). I thought he was with his other friends. Turns out Zul was there too! They were looking around the blazers section for their school's prom night or something. Now, I'm just going to stay in Gadong with Fikri for the time being. Fathul has a movie to catch with Malai.

Happy birthday!

Happy Belated 17th Birthday to Rosazuanna Sapar!

May Allah bless you and congratulations for achieving high grades for your 'O' level exams! YNWA.

This is reality.

As you all may know, I didn't succeed in my 'O' level exams. I am disappointed, as well as I'm upset because I couldn't believe I didn't get any credits - especially for my English. I had so much confidence in it, yet I failed. Last night, my Dad lectured me for an hour or so. He explained what life is going to be like in which path I should choose and that I've chosen. He differentiated from right to wrong and knocked some sense into my head. Failing is one thing, but not getting anything is responsible. Then again, I was thinking of not going to school. He said that if I don't, I am digging my own grave. This is reality. Life provides you with many challenges you have to face for yourselves. Your parents are not going to be here forever to help you out in different kinds of ways. If my parents were still together, I won't be in this situation blogging about it. He also said something about needing three things - logic, common sense and reason. I wish I could remember what he had said, Unfortunately, I don't. From now on, I shan't disappoint my parents and will work harder to achieve better grades. We're still young to give up. I regret for wasting such a beautiful year - 2011.

Happy birthday!

Happy 13th Birthday to my brother, Hakiim Mahari!
Love you loads, bro. Stay healthy and may Allah bless you always.

Enslaved.

I finished Enslaved: Odyssey to the West around midnight last night. The game's not so bad. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'll give it an 8. The fighting reminds me of God of War whereas the climbing reminds me of Uncharted. The storyline is good as well! I was thinking of selling it, but I'll finish with the trophy collection first. I'll think twice if I do want to. Hehehe! Shouldn't miss a game like this! Next game to buy: Mindjack. :)

Here are some sneak previews:

I can't wait to buy Mindjack!
